Rabarberlimonade

This refreshing lemonade is one of my new summer favorites. It's perfect for a hot summer day or in the evening with vodka or gin.

Ingredients
1/2 kg Rhubarb
8 Green cardamom pods
200 g Cane sugar
1 L Water
1 dL Lemon juice
Fresh Mint

Directions
Cut the rhubarbs into small pieces and put cardamom pods, rhubarbs, cane sugar and water into a large pot. Bring to boil, cover with a lid, and boil for a few minuttes. Remove the pot from the heat, add freshly squeezed lemon juice and coole off in the refrigerator over night.
Pass the lemonade through a strainer and store it cold in a large bottle until use.

Dilute the lemonade 1:4 (or as you feel) with sparkling water in a glass with lots of fresh mint and ice cubes. Enjoy!

Bonus
"In South Asia green cardamon is widely used in medicine to treat digestive disorders, inflammation of eyelids, to treat throat problems, and infections in teeth and gums".
